Alwaleed Philanthropies

Alwaleed Philanthropies is the global philanthropy of Saudi Arabia's Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. One of the largest foundations in the region, it supports individuals and organisations working across a range of sectors from health and education to community development, arts, and empowerment. To-date, the foundation has funded humanitarian relief and development initiatives, working with a range of global partners to reach over one billion people worldwide. Alwaleed Philanthropies gave generously to the Gates Philanthropy Partners Covid-19 response fund. This helped to support vaccine development, build capacity in local healthcare settings in Africa, and supply PPE to countries in need. The organisation has also given to campaigns to flight polio and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and has also funded several centres dedicated to Islamic culture.
